 apartment building, commercial building

5-story Renaissance-revival residential building completed in 1886. It is clad in dark-red brick above a ground-floor storefront of lighter red brick and an entrance to the upper floors framed in beige rough stucco. The door is green metal, and the storefront has black cast-iron piers, paneled and fluted.

The upper floors have paired windows in the middle and single-windows in the end bays, which project out slightly from the middle section. The 2nd floor has rounded, carved stone pediments over the end bays, and a wider one over the middle bay, as well as brownstone bands joining the lintels. The 3rd floor has a continuous brownstone sill course and a flat brownstone lintel band; between the 3rd & 4th floors are terra-cotta spandrel panels with intricate carvings. Between the paired windows at the 2nd, 3rd & 4th floors are vertical, grey terra-cotta panels with scale patterns. The 4th-floor windows are topped by large, flat keystones, and a decorative carved band course underlines the top floor's windows. These are topped by round-arches of beige terra-cotta with sunbursts, and the whole facade is crowned by a bracketed, black metal roof cornice. The ground floor is occupied by Chez Napoleon restaurant.
