Estate home built c. 1926 in the Cotswold style by Harrie T. Lindeberg with landscaping by Marian Cruger Coffin for Irving Brokaw {attorney, artist}. In addition to being a descendent of Isaac Vail Brokaw (founder of the Brokaw Brothers Clothing Co.), Brokaw was a famed figure skater. He had lived prior next door at "Frost Mill Lodge". His brother Howard Crosby Brokaw lived in Muttontown at "The Chimneys". Landscaping was provided by Lewis & Valentine. Its contents were sold at auction in 1938 by Parke-Bernet.

The estate was subsequently owned by Robert Brinkley Smithers who renamed it "Longhur".
