This is the site of Stretham Station, on the former Ely & St Ives Railway.

The station opened on 16 April 1866 and closed to passengers on 2 February 1931, with the line remaining open for goods traffic until 13 July 1964. The station building is extant (although extended and now in private hands) and is clearly visible from the road. It retains its distinctive platform awning. The platform however has been removed to make way for an access track to the former goods area.

www.npemap.org.uk/tiles/map.html#551,276,1 shows the closed station on the line as it appeared on 1940s Ordnance Survey maps.

More information on the station and the line may be found at www.disused-stations.org.uk/s/stretham/index.shtml
