28th Street is a local station on the BMT Broadway Line of the New York City Subway, located at 28th Street and Broadway in the Gramercy neighborhood of Manhattan. It is served by the N train at all times and the R train at all times except late nights.
Both platforms have one same-level fare control area at the center. The ones on the Queens-bound platform go up to either eastern corners of 28th Street and Broadway while the ones on the Brooklyn-bound platform go up to either western corners. There are no crossovers or crossunders to allow a free transfer between directions.
