Spearville Wind Farm is located north of US Route 50/56 both north and west of Spearville, which is about 16 miles (25 km) northeast of Dodge City, Kansas.

The wind farm has been developed in three stages.
• Phase 1 (located north of Spearville and individual turbines labelled as "Spearville Wind Farm") was commissioned in 2006 and consists of 67 GE Energy 1.5sle wind turbines with a combined nominal capacity of 100.5 MW.
• Phase 2 (located northeast of Spearville and individual turbines labelled as "Spearville 2 Wind Farm") was commissioned in 2010 and consists of 32 GE Energy 1.5 MW wind turbines with a combined nominal capacity of 48 MW.
• Phase 3 (located west of Spearville and individual turbines labelled as "Spearville 3 Wind Farm") was commissioned in 2012 and consists of 63 GE Energy 1.6-82.5 wind turbines with a combined nominal capacity of 100.8 MW.
In total, all three phases contain 162 turbines with a capacity of 249.3 MW.
