Gumta Baba is a famous landmark place in this village where people worship idol of dog. The dog was said to be pet of Gumta baba. And once in his absence when his temple was robbed, it was this dog which chased the robbers silently. All the robbed jewels and other stuff was hidden in the near by pond by robbers and dog has seen this all. In the morning when Gumta baba got up, dog was trying to pull him and wanted to show the place but baba didn't understood what is dog trying to say. Within sometime baba realized that temple is robbed however the dog kept on trying to show the way to baba where the robbed items were hidden but baba didn't realize it and he thought the dog is unnecessarily troubling him and in the haste baba with his battle axe he killed the dog. A person who was watching this act said to baba that probably your dog was trying to say something to you about the robbery and when they followed back to the pond where dog was trying to point baba, they were able to find the robbed things. However baba realized that he has done a big mistake by killing his loyal dog in haste and felt so bad and guilty about this act that he gave up food and water and died in the remembrance of his dog.
