Pancharevo Lake (Bulgarian: Панчаревско езеро) is an artificial lake, located 10 km from Sofia Downtown. It lies at 600 m above sea level at the end of the beautiful Pancharevo Gorge of Iskar River, between the steep slopes of western Lozen Mountain and the lowest eastern slopes of Mount Vitosha. Its length is 3 kilometers and its depth is about 15 metres. Pancharevo spa resort and National rowing canal "Sredets" located on its west shore.
Area of the lake is a great place for relaxation and sport, which contribute over the years built facilities for sport and mass recreation, including sports and recreation facilities, numerous cozy restaurants and last but not least pure nature and proximity to the capital.
Its main tributary is Vitoshka Bistritsa River, springing from the highest part of the mountain.
