A trio of three joined hotels sharing same lot, completed together in 2008. Designed by Gene Kaufman, the western hotel (Holiday Inn Express) rises the highest, to 360 feet with 36 floors. The other two are both slightly shorter at 32 floors high. Each hotel spans the entire height of the tower producing the three different facade treatments. There are no internal connections between each of the hotels. The facades are set far back above the 1-story bases.
The easternmost hotel, at 337 West 39th, is a Hampton Inn. Its ground floor is clad in grey granite, with the entrance at the left under a small stainless steel canopy, and a large show-window to the right. The upper floors, organized into three bays of split-pane windows with air-conditioning vents at the bottoms, are clad in either dark-grey or beige brick, alternating every three floors. The dark-grey and beige striping scheme continues onto the front third of the east facade. The middle part is painted pale red, and the rear third is a darker red with exposed floor plates in beige.
The middle hotel, at 339 West 39th, is a Candlewood Suites. The ground floor is clad in black polished granite, with the entrance at the right, under a small stainless steel canopy, and two large windows to the left. The tower is clad in dark-grey brick at the edges, and light-grey metal panels between the three bays of double-windows with air-conditioning vents below each window unit. The window framing is silver aluminum.
The westernmost hotel, at 343 West 39th, is a Holiday Inn Express. The ground floor is clad in dark-red granite, with the main entrance near the left, under a small stainless-steel canopy, a small secondary entrance at the far left, and a show-window at the right. The tower is clad in either red or dark-grey brick, alternating every three floors. Like the other hotels, the windows are vertically-split, with metal air-conditioning vents at the bottoms. The west elevation has the alternating red and dark-grey color scheme continuing onto the front third, with the middle being painted pale red, and the rear third a darker red, with exposed floor plates in beige.
There are flagpoles atop the projecting ground floors of each hotel. The rear facade of the tower is unified, all clad in red-painted brick with exposed floor plates, and with three bays of double-windows above metal vents per hotel.
