Excavated area within Sisupalgarh fort. This fort is declared as a Monument of National Importance by Archaeological Survey of India under the "Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites & Remains Act (AMASR)". The fortified settlement is claimed by Archaeologists as a 2500 years old settlement. This excavated ruin lies in the central part of the fortified area.

The pillared structure might be used for public purpose in ancient time, like a town hall. The pillars are made up of laterite stone with medallions on sides. The upper portion of the pillars have niche/groove probably for beams. There are 16 excavated pillars in this location.

Illegal constructions and unregulated development near the structure is threatening the ancient heritage remains. Though it is demarcated as a protected area, the illegal occupation has not been removed till date and more illegal buildings & constructions are coming up very close to these historical remains.
