Al-Ahsa, sometimes Al-Hasa or El Hasa (Arabic: الأحساء‎ al-Aḥsāʾ, locally al-Ḥasāʾ; Turkish: Lahsa) is a traditional oasis region in eastern Saudi Arabia whose name is used by the Al-Ahsa Governorate, which comprises much of that country's Eastern Province. The oasis is located about 60 km inland from the Persian Gulf.
One of the largest Oasis in the world and the largest in Saudi Arabia. It is nominated to be among the 7 nature wonders of the world. It has a population of 622,000.
