  Prof SC Lakhotia. is the founder of this department. Its the brainchild of his visionary intellect which has produced many students so far, who has gone to different prestigious labs around the world for pursuing their PhDs. They will definitly be coming out one day and shine like gems.He is one of the best teacher and scientist with high integrity and morals for doing science. He is the firm beliver of passionate hardwork and contributing towards the development of our country by desseminating knowledge to the younger minds. Today On the eve of Teacher's Day- 5th Sept. 2010, I wish him to see his efforts fulfilled by the students under his tutilege and take the responsibility of holding the 'torch' that once Malviya ji had took on the eve of establishing this Banaras Hinmdu University. Good people, Good time, Good philosphers, Good visionaries are always there in all times so far........lets take strenghts from them and courage to take all challenges with good intentions to be a part of this noble chain.........to serve our country through science.....
