NRHP - National Register of Historic Places, equestrian statue
Statue of George Henry Thomas (1816–1870); American Civil War General and Commanding general of the Division of the Pacific with headquarters at the Presidio of San Francisco. The statue is made of bronze on a granite base and was designed by John Quincy Adams Ward in 1879. It is one of 18 sites collectively listed on the National Register of Historic Places as "Civil War Monuments in Washington, D.C."
