Johns Manville Company
In 1954, Johns Manville Company built a 70,000 sq. ft. warehouse and office at 565 Lakeshore Road East. Manville was a leading producer of roofing materials, acoustic tiles, paper & felt, insulation, asbestos textiles and Transite pipe. The two storey office housed Manville's Ontario sales office. Shortly thereafter Manville moved it's headquarters to the new plant.
In 1977 Manville sold the property to Canadian Admiral. By 1982, Canadian Admiral was in receivership and the buildings were later torn down.
