Estate home designed c. 1928 in the Norman style by William Lawrence Bottomley on originally 8 acres of land for J. Lewis Luckenbach {shipping}. Luckenbach served as vice president of Luckenbach Steamship Co. Ortloff & Raymore designed the landscaping. Mrs. Cecil Baker of the firm of Thedlow did the decorating.
The estate was subsequently owned by John Powell.
