This scrap yard business began as a one man pushcart operation over a hundred years ago. It eventually located here but will soon disappear only to reappear on the opposite side of the river in Venice, Illinois. The current fourth generation of owners gladly accepted the offer for relocation from the City of St. Louis which hopes to see a full service truck stop placed here to help develop the surrounding riverfront area as a "light industry" site.
