This seven-story building was originally occupied in 1990 by Sherwood Medical Corp. A.G. Edwards Company purchased the building in 1998 and through takeovers, Wachovia and Wells Fargo followed. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department purchased the building with funds received through court ordered asset forfeitures intent on moving their headquarters here. Their current headquarters is 83 years old and would require much more money to renovate than the cost of this building which with it's open floor plans and modern wiring is ideally suited for limited renovation needs. The move is expected to occur in 18-24 months.
