Built for Archibald Wilson in 1910, the Wilson Block was expanded to double its initial size the following year. Constructed of brick and faced with tyndall stone, this two-storey building housed Wilson Brothers Carriages and Automobiles. It later served as the McGowan Store and consequently is usually referred to as the McGowan Block. It is one of those buildings which give 2nd Avenue its characteristic low-rise character. It is currently home to The Giggle Factory, a toy store.
