  • There goes an ancient story behind the temple. The river Ganges, banks on whom the temple's been, used to get flooded during 'Savana' month and rush her water inside the temple. That symbolizes respect and reverence in same terms as someone touches else's feet and pays homage. The gesture of rubbing the 'shiva linga' is sacred and people consider it blessed here. We chant Har-Har mahadev and heartily agree that there's only one truth in the world, Shiva.
