A residential neighbourhood on the southern part of Kaunas, a part of Panemunė elderate. There is a church, a school, a post office. Panemunė borders a large forest on the northeast. On the southern end of the neighbourhood there is an old military campus built duting the times of tsarist Russia. Panemunė is connected with Šančiai by a bridge. Main streets of the neighbourhood are Vaidoto street and A.Smetonos boulevard. Regular bus and trolleybus services connect Panemunė with the rest of the city.
