A neighbourhood in Kaunas, a part of Aleksotas elderate. Its area is 528ha. Northern part sometimes is colloquially called Birutė I, while the southern part is called Birutė II. Most of the neighbourhood is covered by individual houses or gardens. On the southern edge there is an old unused Seniava cemetery. On the left bank of Nemunas river there is an old fortification hill (piliakalnis), also known as Napoleon's Mountain.
