An eldership in Kaunas, which consists of one neighbourhood of the same name. It was started to be built in 1963. Distinctive features of Dainava are wide open streets and multistory blocks of flats. In the center of the eldership there is a Draugystės park. Also there are a lot of shopping malls fulfilling the needs of local inhabitants: "Dainava", "Savas", "Pasimatymas", "Saulėtekis", several "Maxima" shops. Main streets across the eldership are V.Krėvės, Taikos, Pramonės avenues and Kovo 11-osios street. The public transport within Dainava is excellent, with multiple regular bus and trolleybus services going from or through Dainava to whole Kaunas.
