Dhangethi is an island on the eastern rim of Ari Atoll, Maldive Islands. Administratively it is part of Alifu Dhaalu Atoll division. Inhabited, it has a population of approx. 1,200, and is the 3rd largest populated island in the Alifu Dhaalu division. With numerous resort islands nearby, many of male youth work in the tourist industry. Other economic activities include fishing, handicraft, tourism related works, construction, boat building and carpentry.
