place with historical importance, antique shop
The Chinese National League, whose office was originally in "Chinatown", moved to this location in 1931. This organization was formed to support the efforts of revolutionary leader Sun Yat-Sen in creating a democratic Chinese national state. The Saskatchewan chapter of the League was incorporated on May 13, 1918 to train aviators to fight in China for the nationalists. In 1919, Mr. Stanley Bing Mah organized the Ken Wah Aviation School, with his brother-in-law Douglas Fraser hired as the first flight instructor. The flight school, which was located where the airport is found today, trained 17 pilots before it closed down in 1922 due to high costs and a lack of students.
Currently this building is being used as Past & Present, an antique store.
