  • "Lucknow Pact" was an agreement that took place at Kakori Kothi between National Indian Congress and All India Muslim League and was recognised by both parties on 29 December and 31 December 1916 accordingly. The Ameer of Kakori Ehtram Ali Alavi had the honour of being the hoast of ceremony at his residence Kakori Kothi(Old Martin House).Ameer Ehtram Ali Alavi later contested a cliffhanger election on the seat of congress against Raja Sahib of Mahmoodabad in 1945-46.Please amend to read the date of Lucknow pact as 1916 in previous comment instead of 1876 erroneously mentioned which is the year of birth of Muhammad Ali Jinnah the Architect of Lucknow Pact

  • Kakori Kothi owes its architectural design to Major General Claude Martin from Lyon, France who joined the British East India Company and had a GOD gifted architectural sense and passion.Claude Martin contributed his architectural acumen to the buildings ,parks and the lay of Lucknow and is therefore remembered as the architect of Lucknow.Claude Martin selected the prominent site which overlooks Kaiser Bagh sarrounding for construction of brilliantly laid french eastern architectural masterpiece which came to be known as Martin House. After the death of Gen Claude Martin in 1800 the house was converted into Martin Trust building. Subsequently, the Martin House building was auctioned and purchased by the Ameer Of Kakori Syed Imtiaz Ali Alavi in 1872 and renamed as Kakori Kothi, the residence of Ameer Of Kakori . Ameer Syed Imtiaz Ali Alavi a feudal lord of Kakori represented the largest clan of ancestral geneology of Ameer ul Momaneen Hazrat Ali ibne AbiTalib ,first causin and son in law of The Prophet Mohammad (RASAWW). Kakori Kothi remained the hub of political drifts as well as platform for National Indian Congress and AIML from 1876 till 1947.Political dish of Bhopal,Avad and Lucknow could never be prepared with out adding Ameer of Kakori in the recipe. The famous "Lucknow Pact" was also signed between two arch rivals NIC and AIML , in 1916 at Kakori Kothi
