The present stone church was built about 1634 on a place where a previous church had burnt down.
Southern side-altar was added in the 1680s, the northern side-altar was added in 1739 in honor of St. John the Baptist. The two-story cubic church has a tent belltower which adjoins a wide refectory. Atop the cubic church is an eight-sided dome with windows, a small belvedere with a tiny cupola was built in 1764.

It is closed about 1937, and returned to believers in 1992.
It is restored and operates.
