Of the five original domes atop the cubic church, only the central cupola survives since a 19th century renovation of the rooftop. Built in 1685-1687, the building was originally surrounded by an open gallery whose only remnant is the covered staircase leading to the refectory or vestibule. Both the church and the refectory have a long horizontal row of windows whose intricate frames are nicely balanced by the vertical columns and pilasters. The spacious interior of the dining hall has no central supports and the room is sometimes used for choir performances.
