Former small store, now a successful and popular local coffee shop. Noted for thriving in the face of corporate competition such as Tim Horton's and Starbucks. Opened two other locations, on 8th Street East and Millar Avenue.

The Swanee Building got its name from its longest tenant, the Swanee Beauty Parlor (1938-1968). The parking lot in front of the building once had a triangular-shaped building, Saskatoon's only flatiron-style structure. It had been a Pinder's Drugs store, NDP headquarters and other entities before its demolition in 1965. The building was demolished during the reconfiguration of the Five Corners intersection to a Y junction.
