Kudahuvadhoo is an inhabited island on the southern fringe of Southern Nilandhe Atoll, Maldive Islands. (The atoll is known administratively as Dhaal Atoll district, the name being an assigned letter of the Dhivehi alphabet.) Kudahuvadhoo has a population of some 2,300 (1562 being the original inhabitants, with a further approx. 740 who were relocated to the island after the 2004 tsumani devasted the islands of Gemendhoo and Vaanee. New settelements have been built to house them. Kudahuvadhoo is the capital of the district (Dhaal Atoll) and the proposed capital of the proposed Medhu Province.
