Ramgarh Taal a potential picnic spot in Gorakhpur, neglected so far. Boating which was started for some years has now also stopped. Ambedkar park, nearby is a preferred location for picnics. However the lake is a natural water body for migratory birds.

It proved to be boon for Gorakhpur city during the flood in 1998. Had it not been there along with the National Highway, the city would have been devastated by flood that year.

  • Really Ramgartaal is the beauty of Gorakhpur, if Government could take care it will be most beautyful place in Purwanchal and public can enjoy their week ends. I humbly suggest to GDA, please please take care and make a most beautiful picnic spot in Purwanchal. Additionally assign a team for area maintainance, cleaness and concentrate on safety first for families.
