Francis L. Hine estate designed by Walker & Gillette c. 1915 in the Georgian style. It was last used as a single-family residence in the late 1950's, before becoming the Bayberry Bath & Tennis Club and later the Fidel Day School. It was converted in the 1980's into condominiums while retaining historic integrity.

  • I actually was a student at the Fidel School from the late 70's through 1981. The building was truly amazing. Makes me wish that I had pictures of the place as it was then. During recesses one could wander around the grounds with a lot less supervision than you would expect from a school.
  • I was too a student at Fidel school in the mid 70's. I remember the beautiful interior of the building with the grand marble staircase. The grounds were amazing. I remember the big dome by the water.
  • I attended the summer camp at Fidel for two summers in the late 70s... The house and its grounds were such a special place to be. It was an amazing camp experience I'll always remember very fondly.
  • I too atrended the summer camp at Fidel during the late 70's. I had the best camp experience. I learned swmiming, cooking (taffy) and archery. The house and grounds were beautiful. A very special time in my childhood.
  • I was a camper at Fidel in the 60's to 70's. Remember Marvin, who guided the buses into the parking lot? There is a time capsule my group buried by the baseball field near the old cemetery.
  • I think about that time capsule often, and hope someone might have saved it ?
  • I went to Fidel for 2 summers. I remember Donna Summer's On the Radio was playing and I was rocking my Wonder Woman bathing suit. I remember the big house or was it a mansion? I recall the big dome, taking gymnastics, swimming lessons, ceramics, tetherball, the water nearby with the horshoe crabs that creeped me out. I only have 2 pics of me and my friend with painted clown faces.
