BNSF Railway Cascade Tunnel, west portal

Cascade Tunnel is 7.8 miles (12.5 kms) in length, and is the longest railroad tunnel in the United States. It is located on the BNSF Railway mainline between Seattle and the Midwest, and is also used by Amtrak's Empire Builder passenger train.
