Chumstick Tunnel is located on BNSF Railway's mainline between Seattle and the Midwest, and is also used by Amtrak's Empire Builder passenger train. The tunnel is a half mile in length, and was constructed by the Great Northern Railway. It is one of three tunnels that were built as part of the Chumstick Cutoff, which opened on October 7, 1928.
