Eghlid (Persian: اقلید) is a town in Fars province, Iran. It is located on the high road between Isfahan and Shiraz, and the population is estimated to be 70,000. It is located close to the mountain chain Zagros and is one of the highest elevations among Iran cities (2250 meters). It is also close to the desert city of Abarqu, making it a city in the border of high mountain and desert. It has a dry and cold weather, and some of its mountain peaks are covered by snow throughout the year. It is an agriculture city and its main products are wheat, barley, potato, and fruits like apple, pear, walnut.

  • اقليد مرتفع ترين شهر استان فارس و بيش از 100،000نفر جمعيت دارد و به لحاظ كشاورزي نسبت به مساحت آن در فارس جزو رده هاي اول از لحاظ كمييت و كيفيت است محصولاتي از قبيل گردو، انگور، نخود ،‌عدس ،لوبيا، سيب درختي(همرده سيب دماوند)، چغندر قند(داراي بهترين عيار) و هلو و ... كه مجال آن در اين مقال نيست. مناظر زيباي طبيعي و چشمسار هاي زيادي در اين شهرستان است از منابع آبي استان به شمار ميرود . قدمگاه معروف در اطراف شهر سده كه بسيار ديدني است يا تنگه براق آن. سد ملاصدرا در اين شهرستان واقع است كه يك سد برق آبي با 100 مگا وات برق ميباشد
