  • the sanatorium was for rehabilitation of people suffering from heart diseases. the area was bought from peasants of vladay before 1944 so later attempts to restiture the land were rejected (the peasants were paid by the government of tsar boris iii). as far as i know , a company related to gunay sefer and ultimately to ahmed (medi) dogan (doganov) and mrf (dwijenie za prawa i swobodi) bought the sanatorium. what are their intentions is unclear to the general public for the moment. this is supposed to be one of the best areas in vladaya - besides 'heart' sanatorium, there is a 'lung' sanatorium at the end of the road - also build in 1930's, now restituted to the former owners
  • All borders of the area are copyed from the GIS-Sofia map.This is the official cadastral system of the city, supported by the autorities. There are no chances made there.The place is the same-it is still marked as "sanatorium". The total surface of the area is also unchanged- 119706 sq.m.
  • This sanatorium was built by the Germans in WW2 as headquarters.

  • Sanatorium is not abandoned. There's a guard and dogs. We quickly ran away.
