The Archery, as the Society is affectionately known, has a long and distinguished history in the evolution of the modern game of lawn tennis. As befits the oldest lawn tennis club in the world, the Archery is set in beautiful surroundings illustrated by the photos on this website. The facilities are varied and of the highest standard with the club boasting 6 grass courts, 4 shale courts, 2 floodlit artificial grass courts and the further use of some tarmac courts at local schools - allowing play on a variety of different surfaces.
