Salzitsa or Dautovo Lake is a glacial lake in the Northern Pirin, located in a shallow cirque about 600 m southeast of Dautov peak (Garbets, 2,597.3 m). The lake is 2,340.9 m high, its area is 0.6 ha with dimensions of 95 by 60 m, and its shape is elliptical. It is 2 m deep. A small river flows from it, a left tributary of the Bela River (left tributary of the Iztok River, right tributary of Mesta River). The lake has a non-permanent water regime and very often dries up in summer.
