Acquired in 1969, the 2.3 ac. neighbourhood park was named after former Sandwich East Police Chiel and Kiwaas Club President, Ford Thurston. The park features playground equipment and tobagganing on rolling hills created from suplus soil excavated from the surroundimg subdivion lands when the houses were built.
