St. Clair NWA protects several hundred hectares of pristine lakeside marshes. It is an important nesting spot for migratory birds, and provides habitat for aquatic life.

The "St. Clair Unit" (244 ha) is shown here; the NWA also contains the "Bear Creek Unit" (111 ha), about 16 km due north near the mouth of the Sydenham River.
