St. Clair NWA protects several hundred hectares of pristine lakeside marshes. It is an important nesting spot for migratory birds, and provides habitat for aquatic life.

The "Bear Creek Unit" (111 ha) is shown here; the NWA also contains the "St. Clair Unit" (244 ha), about 16 km due south near the mouth of the Thames River.
