Seized by YPG-SDF from ISIS on 16 August 2016.

Months after the EuphratesShield started,
TR Army and TR Backed Opposition Forces (Watan Army)
made an offensive, around west and north countryside of Arimah town,
in the second half of November 2016.

After intense clashes on November 21 & November 22,
Yalanlı village was freed from YPG-SDF militants,
by TR and TR Backed Opposition Forces (Watan Army) on 23 November 2016.

But,
with a successfull YPG-SDF counter-offensive,
the village again fell back under YPG-SDF control in the same week.

Despite TR and TR Backed Opposition Forces (Watan Army)
made another offensive to free Arimah town and its countryside (including Yalanli),
from 28 February 2017 to 10 March 2017,
it brought little success and Yalanli couldn't be seized.

Since then,
the frontline between EuphratesShield zone and Manbij region,
goes right outside of the village.
