  • I spent my important and beautiful childhood at my native village, mathila. This village has a glorious history. It is the birth place of many great scholars, wrestlers, artists, musicians, musical instrument players, farmers, technocrats and bureaucrats. durga pooja, deepawali, holi, ramnavami, kalipooja, gobardhan pooja and mahaviri pooja are important festivals of the villagers. Mathileshwari Maii Mandir situated at the centre of the village is the pride of the village. It is a siddhpeeth and very ancient temple. It always remains in the deep corner of my heart. I love my village very much.
  • I am delighted to comment on my village Mathila sitting in San Jose, USA at my elder son Prasun's house. Indeed Mathila has a glorious religious as well as historical past! My village has produced many freedom fighters, engineers, doctors and bureaucrats. My father Late Shri Bishwanath Lal and grand father Late Shri Ganesh Lal belonging to a zamindar family contributed and served their village in the best possible way. Let God give me and my family including my sons Prasun and Rishi and grand son little Aarav, strength and motivation to serve my village going forward.
  • To add to it, just wanted to write this interesting fact about my uncle Late Sri Siddhnath Srivastav who was one of the first in the region to go abroad (England, Oxford University in 1950) for higher studies which brought glory and laurel to the village and region.
