it s the one of the main landmark for navigators and fish hunters across the shore of 'Bay of Bengal'near Sripuram.Armagon lighthouse is about 80 Km from Gudur Railway Station. The lighthouse warns about the shoal 6 Nautical Miles off the coast. A circular masonry Lighthouse tower 30m high was constructed in 1853.The station remained closed for about ten year as the measures for eradication of mosquitoes from the station and the surrounding areas took a long time The station was however made operational in 1938.
