"Ground Zero" Cafe

In the center of the courtyard in the center of the Pentagon, there is this cafe. It has long been referred to as "Ground Zero" based on the assumption that the Soviet Union targeted several squadrons of intercontinental ballistic missiles on this point.

Great tuna salad sandwiches. Beef noodle soup on Wednesday is a house specialty.

  • All they sold was burgers when I was stationed there in the early '80s, that was if the joint was open at all! Glad they stepped their game up!
