A complex of five bridge across the Potomac river. From north to south, the bridges are:
George Mason Bridge (southbound I-395 and U.S. 1)
Rochambeau Bridge (I-395 and U.S. 1, both directions)
Arland D. Williams Jr. Bridge (northbound I-395 and U.S. 1)
Charles R. Fenwick Bridge (Metrorail Yellow Line bridge)
Long Bridge (railroad bridge).

The Arland D. Williams Jr. Bridge was struck in 1982 when Air Florida Flight 90 crashed into the Potomac River after takeoff from National Airport. The bridge's name commemorates a passenger who died after refusing a rescue line so that others might survive.
