A complex of Bronze-Age buildings in the southern portion of the acropolis, which has been identified as a cult center, on the basis of altars and other apparently cultic remains in several of its structures. It may have been functionally related to Grave Circle A to its north. Before the area was turned into the Western Annex of the acropolis in the 13th century BC, it appears to have served the cultic needs of the town. After the Cyclopean wall circuit was expanded to the west and separated the Cult Center from the rest of the town, it appears to have declined in accessibility and use, and became more aligned with the palace and its needs.
