The Diolkos was specially constructed paved road (Ancient Greek Railway), which connected the two ends of the Isthmus of Corinth and on which dragged in antiquity by slaves. Used it to transport whole ships from Corinth to the Saronic Gulf and vice versa. Operating from 600 BC until the 1st AD century.
