Mala Tokmachka

Mala Tokmachka is a village in Polohy Raion (district) of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast (region) of Ukraine.
It is an administrative center of the Mala Tokmachka Village Hromada (community).
Population: 3037 (2001).

The settlement was founded in 1783 near the shallow hard-bottomed ferry across the Konka river. Earlier there was an ancient Nogai settlement on this place.

The village was named after the tributary of the Konka River, which is located near it.
The tributary Mala Tokmachka itself (Mala means 'small') is named after the wide, rich of grass Tokmak valley, which in Turkish means 'to pour, flooded with waters'.
