A small village at the Safipur-Aasiman road/rail crossing was set up on land owned and provided by Zamindar Mohi Uddin of Safipur, father of Mehrunnisa (wife of Mohammad Asghar)and maternal grand father of Hanif, Shamim of village Salindh. The first resident was a labourer who worked for Mohi Miyan as poor man had difficulty to travel daily to Safipur to serve him. One small hut became a village and Zamindari abolition took the land away from the rightful owner. Munshi Farooq was the son of Mohi Miyan.
