This is, historically, the first interactive instructional Technical Museum in the world.
This Museum is located in the Carol I Park, a Bucharest landmark, designed and built in 1906 for the Anniversary National Exhibition of Romania.
The Technical Museum was founded by Professor Engineer Dimitrie Leonida in 1909 (collection gathering started in 1908).
Dimitrie Leonida was inspired by the Technical Museum from Munchen, Germany.
This museum exhibits and explains by instructional interactions, some scientific principles and more inventions created by different great inventors and great technical achievers from Romania and from the world - including Coanda, Vuia, Vlaicu, Constantinescu, Edison, Karpen, Haas, Oberth and many others, all having an impact on the history of technology.
Focused on aviation, space, energy, mechanics, electricity and magnetism, this museum is open to a necessary renewal and to new developments, which are actually in progress.
The real and very detailed contour map of the Carol Park suggests a spaceship that is oriented North, North, North, West.
The main entrance of the Technical Museum is near the majestic North main entrance of the park. Together, the two main entries define an area like an upfront part of the spaceship. This is more visible on the Interactive Map (Intergraph made) of Bucharest - published on the City Hall website, when relevant scale and contour details are activated about the Carol Park, using this Technical Museum formal (somehow “back door”) address: Candiano Popescu 2
(try the 2nd answer, not the 1st one showing a wrong South location).
After seeing the great Google images, amalgamating Carol Park and different other properties on its West Side, (like the Astronomic Institute), please see the precise contour oriented mapping of the Carol Park - plus the Technical Museum location inside the park, at the Bucharest City Hall website - in Romanian language:
213.164.230.236/hip2/
(For a quick Carol Park contour, suggesting a spaceship that is oriented North, North, North, West, use a practical / informal address on the map
www.bucharest-map.com .
Simply type Liber - from the "Piata Libertatii" practical / informal address;
be sure that exactly "Piata Libertatii" or “Libertatii Square”- was clicked on the offered menu, before clicking "Go".
The majestic Carol Park main entrance (very close to the main / front door entrance of the Technical Museum) should be marked by a red circle).
