The southern point of the Nushagak Peninsula, the shoals of Cape Constantine figure in many historical accounts of shipwrecks caught unaware.

The face of the entire cape is large and is not marked by any navigational aids, despite the number of fisheries-related vessels traveling between Nugashak Bay and the Togiak-area bays and fishing districts.
